Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you deposit.
